Voices of Adoption young people’s group

We are The Voices of Adoption Group. We are a small group of young people aged between 11-18 that meet about six times a year, on a Saturday between 10am and 2pm. We have lunch together and have time to socialise as part of our meetings, which is important to us.
Attending the group helps us develop our confidence and also to listen to others views and share our views.
We help Adoption East Midlands to think about adopted young people’s needs and offer our views when services are being developed.
We have been involved in the recruitment of the new youth worker posts recently, help with planning the events for adopted young people to meet together and have recently revised the young people’s questions that are asked to potential adopters at adoption panel. We also get involved with other consultation and participation work with Nottinghamshire County council, other agencies and Adoption England.

- Saturday 25 January 2025
- Saturday 22 March 2025
