Change your personal details
You can update your name and/or address by using our online form
Leaving the LGPS (including opting-out)
There are a number of options available to you if you have left, are leaving or you are opting out the pension scheme.
Contributions rates

Tax on contributions
Your pension contributions are deducted from your pay before tax is calculated.
Absence from work
There are a number of different possibilities depending on the reason for absence.
Absences include: sick leave, maternity and paternity leave, unpaid leave and strike days.
Increase or reduce pension contributions
You can choose to make additional contributions through Additional Pension Contributions (APC's) and Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVC's) or you can reduce the amount you pay with the 50:50 scheme.
Transferring in previous pensions
You can choose to transfer your previous membership to your new Local Government Pension Scheme
Divorce or dissolution of civil partnerships
To understand what can happen to your pension if you get divorced or have your civil partnership dissolved please visit the LGPS National website
Retiring
You can choose to retire and draw your pension at any time from age 55 and receive your benefits immediately, although they may be reduced if paid before your Normal Pension Age.
Death in Service
If you die in service as a member of the LGPS a number of benefits are payable
